Derby vs Hull City Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Derby County didn't do what they did last year and faded away to miss out on the play-offs. This time they finished fifth in the table five points behind Hull City who they host in this semi-final play-off first leg. Derby will be looking to repeat the result they got a few weeks ago when they hammered Hull 4-0 at home. Earlier in the season Derby won 2-0 at Hull so they might have a bit of a mental advantage here. Home form hasn't been too  bad for Derby lately though they did lose their last home match 1-0 but before that they had gone seven home games without defeat. Hull City were relegated from the Premier League last season but like Burnley are looking to make an immediate return. Away form hasn't exactly been promising though with ten league defeats during the league season including that 4-0 loss at Derby. They have only won one of their last six away games and that helped end their hopes of automatic promotion. I think Derby can get a lead here and they'll need it as Hull only lost one home league game all season, mind you it was Derby who beat them!
