Our next match prediction in the Championship covers the intriguing fixture between Derby County and Queens Park Rangers at Pride Park. Can Paul Warne’s Rams get back to winning ways at home? Or will Marti Cifuentes’ Hoops continue their solid away form this season and bring something back to London from this clash?

Derby have not drawn a league game this season but face a team with the equal highest number of draws in the division. Paul Warne’s Derby team have won three of their four games at home though and in truth, only lost last weekend to Norwich City (3-2) due to some woeful refereeing.

That poor decision allowed Norwich’s opening goal to stand, despite the ball being clearly out of play in the build-up. 

Worryingly for Rams fans, it means that following two successive wins over Bristol City (3-0) and Cardiff (1-0), Derby have now lost all their last three: 1-0 at Sheff Utd, 3-2 at home to Norwich and in midweek they were beaten 2-0 on the road by Championship leaders Sunderland. That leaves them 14th in the table.

QPR come into this game in 22nd spot in the table and the pressure is on for Rangers to start picking up wins. The Hoops have won just once this season, drawing four and losing three, including both their last two games. They were a 2-0 loss at Blackburn at the weekend and a 3-1 home defeat to Hull City. 

Rangers have now lost three of their last four games making this match a vital one in their hopes to climb the table away from the drop zone.
