Derby County vs Leeds Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Daniel Ngulu | in Championship Predictions
Leeds United tour Pride Park high in confidence and of course the impact of a new manager will see them ride high but they have a small problem to deal with – the fact that they are winless in their last 11 away games in the Championship. They face a side that has scored in nine of the last 10 matches and has four wins in the last five Championship matches at home and head to the game on four straight wins (inclusive of preseason matches). Derby will be parading a run of five straight wins at home, drawing back from preseason, with 13 goals scored in that run, and three conceded. Derby have lost once, and won three of their last five Championship matches and scored in the last 10 Championship matches at home. In the last 15 Championship matches at home, Derby have failed to score in just one. Leeds will hope to extend on the run of three straight wins that they take to this clash but they will hope for a better away day, having managed just two wins, a loss and two draws in their last five away matches, where they have scored 11 and conceded 10. Leeds have six wins and two clean sheets in their last 10 matches. They have managed four wins in the last 10 Championship matches and conceded in 13 of 15 Championship matches they have played recently. Leeds’ poor away run in the Championship places them at three wins in the last 15 away matches and they have managed just two clean sheets in the process. In the two sides’ last six meetings, this clash has produced over 2.5 goals in four. Head to head, they have met 83 times and Derby have 33 wins, while Leeds have 34.

Our Derby County vs Leeds Prediction
A lot has been said and written about Leeds’ new manager, but will his effect play out in this game, on the back of the team’s poor away record? Bielsa is known for his love for attacking football, which at times leaves the defensive aspect exposed; case in point the comfortable win in the first game but without a clean sheet. They have also scored 11 goals in their last five matches, but ion the flipside, conceded 10 and this is a factor that the manager will need to look at so much especially with Derby who have scored in 14 of their last 15 Championship games at home and with four wins in the last five Championship games at home. Derby have scored 13 goals and conceded three in their last five home matches and this will be key in this game. While Leeds are a worthy opponent, the defensive frailty they carry to this game will let them down. The two sides’ goal scoring form will however account for an interesting game here. Four of the last six meetings between the two sides have produced over 2.5 goals and we are backing this game to yield the same, with a win for Derby.
