It's been a real up and down season for Derby County who made the Championship play-offs last season. They made a poor start to the season then made big strides under new boss Steve McLaren. Recent weeks haven't been good though with just two points from their last six games and they have slumped to 11th in the table and ten points away from the play-off positions. Home form isn't great either with two points from the last three. Barnsley are one position and two points above their opponents. Eight points adrift of the play-off places, they can't afford many more mistakes if wanting to have any chance of making the top six but with one win in their last eight league matches a play-off position looks beyond them. Away from home, they have won two of their last three games including a good win at Aston Villa recently and they held promotion chasing Huddersfield to a draw last weekend Neither side are scoring too many at present, so go for under 2.5 goals as your bet.
