Denmark vs Finland Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro
by Daniel Ngulu | in Euro Predictions
Denmark will enjoy home ground advantage when they open their Euro 2020 campaign with a Group B game against Finland in Copenhagen on Saturday. The Danes had a good run in the qualifiers, finishing second in Group D with 16 points, one below Switzerland while Finland were second to Italy in Group J with 18 points. It has been a great run for Denmark towards this competition; they are unbeaten in their last five matches, with four wins. Heading here they beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 2-0 in their final warm up game, which also produced a fourth clean sheet in five for the team. Their only losses (two) in the last 28 matches were against the world’s best ranked team – Belgium. In nine of their last 11 matches, Denmark have scored two goals or more. With one loss on home soil in 20 matches, Denmark will hold a good advantage here, especially having won each of their last five there.
This is the first time Finland appear in a major competition and they look to make an impression in a very tough group that also has Russia and Belgium. In their qualification campaign, they finished a distant 12 points behind group winners Italy, and they will be hoping for a good first run here. Finland aren’t heading to this competition on a very strong footing; they’ve lost each of their last three matches ahead of this competition and have no win in the last six matches. A 1-0 loss at home to Estonia in their final warm up game has done much to dampen the Finns’ spirits heading to this competition. Not even the presence of star players Glen Kamara and Teemu Pukki would save the team from a result that is going to raise much concern among the fans. Having conceded two or more in four of their last six matches makes it worse, and three losses in the last four away matches strengthens their placing as the underdogs going to the tournament.

Our Denmark vs Finland Prediction
Finland are taking part in their first ever major tournament and they are not backed to make a major impression. They have a poor run going to their first game and are sure to struggle against Denmark, who have the advantage of playing on home soil. At home, Denmark have five straight wins and have conceded just three goals in the last 10. They are very strong defensively so back them to win without conceding.
