Denmark vs Finland Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

Denmark begin their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign with a home game against Finland. This is a Group H match with the other countries being Kazakhstan, Slovenia, Northern Ireland and San Marino. The top two in the group automatically qualify for the finals. Kazakhstan are already in the play-offs because of their Nations League performances. Denmark are the favorites to top this group and reached the semi-finals of the last European Championships. Since that tournament two years ago, the Danes have had a disappointing World Cup, failing to get out of their group. That saw them lose to both France and Australia after drawing with Tunisia. This is their first game since the World Cup and they will look to continue their impressive home form. Eight of their last nine games on home soil have been won with 18 goals scored and only two conceded. Only one of their last 15 home European Championship qualifiers has been lost. That was to Portugal in 2014.

Finland will be disappointed that Montenegro is not in Group H. Why? Well, since November 2021, they are the only country that Finland has beaten. They had two wins over them in the Nations League but those are their only victories in their last 12 internationals. The last two played saw them beaten away in Sweden and at home by Estonia. They have failed to build on reaching the finals of the last European Championships. That remains their only appearance in the finals of a major championship. The last Euro finals did see them beat Denmark 1-0 in the group stages. That was the game in which Christian Erikson nearly died and should have been abandoned. Finland have only won one of their last six away internationals. Go for Denmark to get the win in this game.
