Gameweek four in the MLS will see DC United taking on Inter Miami at Audi Field on Saturday evening. The hosts are currently in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, while the visitors lead the Conference standings. After a tumultuous 2023 campaign under Wayne Rooney, DC United have made a much more promising start to this season. They are still unbeaten after three matches, including a 3-1 opening-day victory over New England followed by back-to-back draws away to Portland Timbers and Cincinnati, respectively. The Black-and-Reds’ five points leave them two points behind their opponents here, and they also have a game in hand. It’s still a little early in the season to make a definitive judgment on DC’s title hopes, but a victory here would definitely put them in the conversation of ones to watch this term. 

Meanwhile, Inter Miami are, without doubt, a team to keep an eye on this season after adding to their already star-studded squad in the off-season by bringing in Luis Suarez. The Herrons made a very positive start to the season, going unbeaten in their first three games (W2 D1 L0), capped off with a 5-0 thumping of Orlando City at the start of the month. However, they were unable to keep their momentum going, as they suffered defeat at the hands of Montreal last week. The visitors are now one of five sides that are level on seven points this season, but they are the only team in the Eastern Conference to have played four games already.
