Czechia vs Wales Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup

Group E is going to be won by Belgium, who have a nine-point lead at the top of the table. The chase is on for second place and the Czech Republic are ahead of third placed Wales. They both have the same number of points but the Czechs have played a game more. Wales could finish third and still make it into the play-offs due to winning their Nations League group. The Welsh side had a struggle in their last game needing late goals to win away in Belarus. That 3-2 win was only their second in the past nine matches. Gareth Bale scored a hat-trick in that game but he's not playing in this game, even further blunting their scoring power.  So far in this group their away games have produced that win in Belarus but an away loss in Belgium. Now they play the Czechs and then are away to bottom-of-the-table Estonia. Wales won the reverse fixture against the Czechs 1-0. That was played before Euro 2020, they come into this game having failed to score in four of their last five matches. Eight of their last 11 games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them and another tight affair looks likely here.

The Czechs could really do with winning this game. Their run-in isn't too bad with this game followed by a trip to Belarus and then a final home match against Estonia. They are a bit down the pecking order in terms of being one of the two Nations League sides that can go into the play-offs, so finishing second is more important to them than it is for Wales. The Czechs have seven points from five games and have lost two of their last three qualifiers. As well as being beaten in Wales, they lost 3-0 away to Belgium. Their last two home games in this group have both had under 2.5 goals scored in them. That stat has come up in six of the last eight matches. There's a lot to play for here and our tip is on under 2.5 goals to be scored.
