Czech Republic took an early lead in Group 2 of League A in the Nations League courtesy of a 2-1 win over Switzerland and will be looking to extend it when they host Spain. In their opening game, Spain drew 1-1 with Portugal. Czech Republic have the advantage of starting their opening two games at home and will want to make it count as their next two games will be away from home. They haven’t lost a home game in the last 10 outings. In their last eight matches, Czech have suffered one loss, a World Cup qualification playoff match against Sweden. They went down 1-0 away from home, in what remains to be one of two matches in the last 10 that they’ve failed to score. The other one was against Belgium. In five of their last seven matches, Czech Republic have scored two or more goals and this prolific scoring run is what they’ll want to carry here.

Spain on the other hand, were just eight minutes away from a win at home to Portugal after Alvaro Morata’s first half strike but Ricardo Horta came off the bench to score and see the game end 1-1. For the Spaniards, it was a fifth unbeaten outing but their winning run of four straight games came to a halt. Just like Czech Republic, they carry into this game a good scoring run, just that theirs is better; Spain have scored in each of their last 15 matches. They’ve however managed more than a goal in only two of the last six matches. In those 15 matches, they’ve registered six clean sheets, and will feel the need to tighten at the back. They have three straight away wins and four straight wins against Czech Republic. In their five meetings before, Spain remains unbeaten.
