Cyprus vs Scotland Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

Cyprus have played three qualifiers in Group A and have lost all of them. To keep their slim chances of qualifying for next year's finals in Germany, they will have to win here. Temur Ketsbaia's charges lost their opening group match 3-0 away to Scotland. They followed that up with a 2-1 defeat at home to Georgia. A point was nearly earned in that match but a goal in the 84th minute saw them lose the game and further damage their qualification hopes. Their most recent match in this Euro 2024 qualifying group was a 3-1 loss in Norway  Cyprus have only won three of their last 23 internationals. Their last victory was a 3-2 win away in Israel last November. Home form has seen them beat both Estonia and Greece in the Nations League. In Euro qualifiers though, Cyprus haven't won at home since a win over San Marino in 2019. Seven of their last nine home Euro qualifier games have ended in defeat. Their last home game against Scotland was four years ago when losing 2-1.

Scotland are looking to maintain their 100 percent record against Cyprus having won all eight previous meetings. four wins coming in Cyprus. With their current form, they will be confident of another win here. Scotland lead Group A with 12 points, eight more than their closest challengers. They have won all four of their fixtures in the group, scoring nine goals and conceding just once. Steve Clarke's men will therefore be confident of making it to back-to-back Euro Championships for only the second time in Scotland's history. Their biggest win to date was the 2-0 home win over Scotland in March of this year. The Spaniards are fourth in this group, nine points behind Scotland but with two games in hand. This is the first of three consecutive away group matches for Scotland. After this they face Spain and then Georgia. A couple of wins, perhaps even four points should further strengthen their qualifcation hopes. Because of their recent promotion in the Nations League, they are already assured of a place in the Euro 2024 play-offs as are Spain and Georgia. The last thing they'll be thinking of at present though is having to qualify in that manner.
