Just like their rivals Manchester City, United have made an inconsistent start to their Champions League campaign. After losing away to PSV they struggled to a 2-1 home win over Wolfsburg. All four teams in this group have three points but United know that with two games against CSKA Moscow and a home game against PSV they can build up a decent amount of points from these games and hopefully get at least a draw in Wolfsburg. United have gradually been improving as the season has progressed but still blow a little bit hot and cold at times so total trust in them hasn't yet been earned. A 3-0 away win at Everton at the weekend was an impressive result especially with Wayne Rooney getting on the score sheet. CSKA have three points from a home win over PSV and a defeat in Wolfsburg. Their recent record in the Champions League isn't a great one though. Their last two campaigns have seen them finish bottom of the group. They win the occasional home game but usually against the weaker sides in the group. United don't fit into that category and can get a hard fought away win here.
