Watford’s return to the Premier League hasn’t had much to celebrate and with four matches to go, any point dropped now will mean they are relegated. They will travel to London to take on Crystal Palace knowing it is a must win game, even though survival is no longer in their hands. Hosts Palace have 41 points, in 11th place while Watford, with 22 points, are 19th. Crystal Palace ended a four-game winless run with a 2-1 away win at Southampton in their last game. It was also the first time in four matches that they managed to score, but they couldn’t get a second straight clean sheet as they had to stage an impressive second half comeback. Wilfried Zaha scored the winner in stoppage time to hand them their second straight unbeaten outing. They will now be counting on home comforts, as they have no loss in the last six home matches, winning three. Palace have four straight clean sheets at home.

Watford have a very bad run going into this game; they have lost each of their last five matches, and have just one win in 10. In their last five matches alone, they have conceded 14 goals, meaning they head into this game on a poor run defensively. They have managed to score in each of their last three matches, but they aren’t very strong in attack, having failed to score in two of five and they haven’t also managed more than a goal per game. In the last 10 matches they have eight losses and from a possible 30 points in that run, they’ve managed just four points. Their away run isn’t encouraging either, as they have failed to score in five of the last eight, yet they face a side that has four straight clean sheets at home and is unbeaten in six there.
