Crystal Palace will be at home on Saturday against Nottingham Forest in their next English Premier League match. After seven rounds of play, Palace are ninth in the standings and sit three points above 12th-placed Forest. Crystal Palace have won three matches and drawn a further two to rack up 11 points. Roy Hodgson’s men were 1-0 winners away to Manchester United last weekend. The result was the perfect response to their elimination from the League Cup against the very same opponents days prior. It also ended a three-match run without a win. They will now seek back-to-back victories for only the second time this season.
Nottingham Forest picked up four points from Palace last season on their return to the top flight. They drew 1-1 here and will be out to avoid defeat again. Forest have lacked consistency and have won only two of their seven games while losing a further three. They are tied with two other teams on eight points. Steve Cooper’s charges can move into the top 10 with a win on Saturday. Forest were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Brentford last time out. This extended their current run without a win to three games. The Reds have had a torrid time when playing away in the league. They have recorded only one win away from home since January.
