 Crystal Palace begin the weeked in 17th place and are only out of the bottom three on goal difference. It's possible they could be in the relegation zone by the time this game begins if Swansea avoid defeat against West Ham on Saturday or Stoke City win at Southampton. Palace had climbed up the table after a good run but come into this game having earned just two points from their last five league games. They have a tough fixture list at present having lost at home to Spurs last Sunday and after this game against second placed Manchester United, they travel to Chelsea and their next home match is against Liverpool. Home form had been good since they started to recover from their nightmare start to the season but they come into this match on a run of just one win in their last five home league games, though they have had to face Arsenal, Manchester City and Spurs. Goals are a problem again with only two scored in the last four home league matches and they have only kept one clean sheet in their last eight league and cup matches. Playing Manchester United hasn't been producing positive results for Palace in recent years. They have lost the last five and have gone 19 league games without a win against United. Jose Mourinho's side could well be third in the table by kick-off if Liverpool beat Newcastle at home on Saturday. United have only lost one of their last five games but are prone to the occasional poor performance on the road and have lost their last two away league matches. This won't be too straightforward for United and if Palace were in good form I wouldn't be too confident in tipping an away win. Palace aren't in form though so go for United to get the three points.
