Manchester United have ended the season in good form but that loss at West Ham ultimately cost them a place in the Champions League. Now they take on Crystal Palace in the FA Cup Final hoping to win a trophy but even if they do will they ever play another game under Louis van Gaal. United haven't won the FA Cup since 2004 and this is their first final since 2007. Palace have never won the FA Cup and their only previous final was a loss to United after a replay in 1990. United have had a good run of form lately and definitely have the upper hand on their opponents but this is a cup game so anything could yet happen. Louis van Gaal's team (how much longer will we be writing that I wonder?) only lost one of their last six league games and just missed out on the Champions League on goal difference so all that negative play cost them in the end. With Rashford, Rooney and Martial all in good form the chances of United winning this in style look good to me. Palace have won more FA Cup ties than league games this year and beaten Southampton, Stoke, Spurs and Watford on their way to this final. All very strange considering they only won two of their last 20 league games and only Villa (no prizes for getting that right) had a worse record. 12 points out of 60 but a Cup Final appearance. Everything points to a United win here.
