Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Kennedy Kechula in Premier League Predictions
Round 25 of the English Premier League will see Crystal Palace host Liverpool at Selhurst Park on Saturday. Palace are 12th in the table with 26 points while Liverpool are in eighth place with 35 points. Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace arrive for this match having not tasted victory all year. The London club has played eight matches across all competitions in 2023 and have a record of four draws and four losses. They have drawn their last two matches 1-1 and two of their losses have come at home. They have also kept only one clean sheet all year and failed to score three times. At home in the league, the Eagles have not won a match since managing three successive wins in October. Their last five home matches have seen them draw three and lose two and they managed just two goals in that stretch while conceding nine. Palace will continue to be without talismanic forward Wilfred Zaha for yet another matchday due to injury but in his absence, they have not failed to find the back of the net, with three different players scoring in their last three matches. Eberechi Eze scored his fourth league goal last time out against Brentford and they will look to him to be the catalyst against Liverpool.
Matches are coming in quick and fast for Liverpool and after their continental duties in midweek, they turn their attention to the league where they hope to secure three wins on the trot for only the second time this season. Liverpool suffered their worst home defeat in Europe in midweek when they were beaten 5-2 by Real Madrid. They will quickly want to leave that behind them and the perfect way to do so is by winning at Selhurst Park. After starting the year without a win in four matches in the league (three losses and a draw), Jurgen Klopp’s men have won their last two matches by similar 2-0 score lines. They ended their slump by beating Everton in the Merseyside Derby and followed that up with a huge win away to Newcastle United last time out. Darwin Nunez, Mohammed Salah and Cody Gakpo have each scored two of Liverpool’s last six goals across all competitions. The three will again be looked upon to lead from the front against Palace. The Reds will continue to be without Thiago Alcantara, Luis Diaz and Calvin Ramsay due to injury while Ibrahima Konate and Arthur face late fitness tests.

Our Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Prediction
Crystal Palace were close to getting their first win of the year last time out against Brentford but were unfortunate to concede a stoppage-time equalizer. They drew with Liverpool in the first-leg to end a 10-game losing streak against the Merseyside club but they aren’t on a very encouraging run ahead of this game. In our Crystal Palace v Liverpool prediction, we will back an away win.
