It has been a turbulent season for both sets of fans, with Eagles supporters disappointed at the form and direction of the club at boardroom level, while Chelsea fans have seen their expensively assembled team struggle. Both teams have suffered some chastening results in recent times and head into this game with Palace 14th in the table and Chelsea 11th, with 7 points between the two teams. Crystal Palace - Chelsea: Form Analysis
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has been having to deal with a horrific injury list, as well as unhappy Eagles fans in recent times. Two wins in their last five Premier League games is not a bad return, but with a 5-0 defeat by Arsenal and a 4-1 loss away to rivals Brighton in their last two away games has soured the situation at Selhurst Park still further. Goals have been the main issue for the Eagles, with just 26 scored, the third lowest total in the Premier League and 40 conceded. With just 2 wins in their last 12 Premier League games, which included a run of four games at home without a win, it is easy to see why Palace fans are unhappy. Wins over Brentford and Sheffield United in recent weeks have eased that pressure a little, but with so many players injured for the game with Chelsea, this looks like being another tough game for the home side.
Depending on how you look at things, you could argue that Chelsea are also in a similar position, having lost their last two Premier League games 4-1 to Liverpool and then 4-2 at home to Wolves. However, the flip side of that is Chelsea went to Aston Villa in the week in the FA Cup and emerged with a 3-1 victory and they have also reached the Carabao Cup Final, where they will face Liverpool at Wembley at the end of February . Manager Mauricio Pochettino has not had the easiest of season's as Chelsea manager, especially in the league and a recent social media spat with Thiago Silva's wife, who seemed to call for his sacking after her husband was dropped for the Villa game, won't have helped. Chelsea have lost four of the last five on the road in the Premier League and have won just four away games all season. They'll be looking to add to that number here by completing a league double over their opponents after beating Palace 2-1 at the end of December.

Crystal Palace & Chelsea Squad Analysis
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has bemoaned his sides luck when it comes to injuries and that isn't a surprise. The Eagles have seven players on the treatment table and only one of those players, defender Joel Ward, stands a 50/50 chance of playing in the game against Chelsea. Chieck Doucoure, Rob Holding and Michael Olise are long-term absentees while Eberechi Eze has a thigh injury which will rule him out until late February at the earliest. England defender Marc Guehi has a knee issue that will likely keep him out for another couple of weeks and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has a hamstring injury which will rule him out for a while. Eze, Guehi and Olise's absences are a massive blow for the Eagles as they have been amongst the best players for Palace this season.
Chelsea also have numerous injury concerns ahead of the game with Palace on Monday. Long-term absentees include defenders Wesley Fofana, Reece James and Marc Cucurella, while youngster Lesley Ugochukwu hasn't been set a return date from his hamstring strain. There is better news for Mauricio Pochettino with a number of other players. Defensive pairing Levi Colwill and Trevor Chalobah are believed to be close to a return, while goalkeeper Robert Sanchez and midfielder Romeo Lavia are thought to be a week or two away from regaining full fitness. Despite their well-documented struggles this season, Cole Palmer has been a massive plus for Chelsea and he is the clubs top goalscorer. His link up play with Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher in particular has been a highlight of Chelsea's best play in recent games.
