Ninth placed West Bromwich Albion can move into the Championship promotion play-off positions with a win at Coventry who are 20th. The Magpies are only three points adrift of the top six and could move up as high as fifth if winning this game. West Bromwich Albion's problem at present is their away form in the Championship. Four home wins have been earned in the Championship but their away form is holding them back and may well do so again this Monday. Only one of their last eighht away league games has ended in victory. That sole win was a 4-0 win at Preston North End but then they were beaten at Birmingham City 3-1. They have drawn three of their last five away league games.

Coventry City were only one game away from winning promotion to the Premier League last season. They lost the promotion play-off to Luton Town but will do well to get into that kind of situation this term. They are eight points behind sixth place and only six above the bottom three. Like their opponents, it's away form that is the problem. Only one away win has been recorded this season but they are yet to lose on home soil. Even then the Sky Blues have only won two of their six home league games with four drawn. All those draws have come in their last five games. West Brom are the higher placed side (five points ahead of City) but their away form is a worry. A bet on a draw is the way forward here.
