High-flying Coventry City will host Bristol City at the Coventry Building Society Arena in a Championship clash scheduled for Tuesday. Coventry currently sit sixth in the standings with 43 points from 28 games while Bristol are 13th, having picked up 37 points. The hosts are firmly in contention for a playoff semi-final while the visitors will be hoping to bridge the six-point gap. Last time out Coventry picked up a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup, having shipped in a late goal from Djeidi Gassama. The draw extended the Sky Blues’ unbeaten streak to 11 games that has seen them ascend to the playoff places. In this run, they’ve picked up three straight league victories and an FA Cup win over Oxford United. Their impressive record has also been witnessed at home, where they have only suffered one league defeat this season.

Bristol City are currently enduring a rough patch having only won one of their last seven games. Most recently, the Robins managed a spirited 0-0 draw with Premier League opposition Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup. It hasn’t been a very stable period for Bristol in recent times; the draw was their fourth in the last seven matches. In that seven-game run, they’ve managed just one win. Bristol have enjoyed it more in the FA Cup this season, claiming huge scalps, including beating West Ham United. Goals have however been a problem for the visitors in recent games as they have failed to find the back of the net in four of their last seven games. Their away form is also poor, registering only one win in the last 10 games on the road.
