Cork City have played 49 European ties and only won ten of them, can they celebrate reaching their half century with a win over Belgian side Genk. The Irish side have never made it through to the group stages of a European tournament or come that close really. They trail 1-0 from the first leg, not a bad result but oh how they could have done with an away goal in Belgium. So far this season Cork have managed to get past Linfield and Hacken but five games have only produced seven goals so I'm not looking at a load of goals being scored here. Genk will have been disappointed with only getting a single goal lead to take to Ireland but at least they kept a clean sheet. They aren't a great side on the road and only scored ten goals in 15 away league games last season but also only conceded 14. Eleven out of 15 away league games last season for Genk had under 2.5 goals scored. Seven of the last eight home ties for Cork in European competition have had under 2.5 goals scored and this could well be another one with Genk likely to play it tight as they defend their lead.
