Colorado Rapids had their match against Dallas postponed on Thursday and they will thus be back at home to host Sporting Kansas City on Sunday. Going to the match, Colorado Rapids are eighth in the Western Conference with seven points while Kansas City leads the standings on 15 points. Both sides are coming from big losses though Rapids will be well rested having last played on 23rd. They lost 4-1 away to Real Salt Lake, stretching their winless run to four matches and they haven’t been really at the top defensively, with no clean sheet in their last seven MLS matches. It has been worse in recent matches, with Rapids conceding two or more in their last four matches; a total of 11 goals in the process. Kansas City fell 5-2 at home to Houston Dynamo in a match they were dominated for long periods and they now have no clean sheet, and two losses in their last three matches. They have five wins in their last 10 MLS matches and defensively, they haven’t done so well either, having conceded two or more in 10 of their last 15 MLS matches. However, in the 15 MLS matches, Kansas City have scored in 13 and 13 have produced over 2.5 goals. Away from home, and excluding matches played at the MLS is Back tournament, Kansas City have lost five of their last seven league games. They have no clean sheet in the seven matches.
