Colombia started the tournament well with a 2-0 win over hosts USA. That good win was followed up by another impressive performance this time against Paraguay with two goals in the first half hour putting them in charge with the game ending 2-1. That put them in the last eight so they rested some players including Rodriguez and ended up losing their final game 3-2 to Costa Rica. The top players will be back for this game though. Peru have caused the biggest shock in this tournament by getting a 1-0 win over Brazil in their final game to dump them out of the tournament. Before that Peru had struggled to beat Haiti 1-0 then blew a 2-0 lead over Ecuador to draw 2-2. The win over inconsistent Brazil will give them confidence but Colombia look to be in good form and can get the win here and move into the last four.
