Colombia - Jamaica W: Form Analysis
Colombia have made it to the knockout rounds of a FIFA World Cup for the second time in succession. They finished top in Group H after winning two of their three matches. The CONMEBOL representatives began the tournament with a 2-0 win over South Korea. They would follow this up with one of the shocking results of the tournament when they defeated two-time champions Germany 2-1. At this point, they had already qualified for the knockout rounds and could afford to lose 1-0 to Morocco on matchday three. The loss to Morocco ended a five-match unbeaten run where they had won three times. They will be keen to return back to this form to strengthen their chances of making it to the last eight.
In what is their second appearance at a Women’s World Cup, Jamaica are through to this round for the first time. The CONCACAF representatives made their World Cup debut four years ago in France but exited at the group stage without winning a match. This year, they have been on a mission. Not only have they won their first-ever World Cup match, but they also finished undefeated in Group F. Mind you, this is a group that had Brazil and France in it. Lorne Donaldson’s charges drew 0-0 with both France and Brazil to sandwich their 1-0 win over Panama. Defence has been key to their success and they will hope to be as rigid against Colombia. They are now unbeaten in four matches after they defeated Morocco 1-0 in their final friendly before arriving for the tournament.

Colombia & Jamaica W Squad Analysis
Colombia will be without the services of Manuela Vanegas for this match. The defender was booked twice during the group stages and is therefore suspended. This is a big blow as Vanegas has started every single match and has also contributed with a goal. Head coach Nelson Abadia will not sweat too much on this with Daniela Caracas, Monica Ramos, and Angela Baron all available. All eyes however will be on the opposite end of the pitch. Linda Caicedo and Catalina Usme will be expected to provide the goals once again. Caicedo in particular has lit up the tournament and has two goals to her name.
Jamaica could be without the services of Jodie Brown here after she was withdrawn with a possible injury in the last match. The forward had struggled with her fitness before the start of the tournament. Her withdrawal in the 85th minute against Brazil could as well be a precautionary measure. The Reggae Girls have struggled on the offensive end and have managed only one goal so far. Their lone goal has been scored by captain Allyson Swaby who has also led their resolute defence.

Our Colombia vs Jamaica W Prediction
Our prediction for Colombia v Jamaica is for the match to see under 2.5 goals scored. Jamaica have their defence to thank for advancing to this round. They are yet to concede a goal in the tournament. This should have them confident of frustrating a Colombia team that failed to score in its last match.
Colombia vs Jamaica W - Other Interesting Predictions
Scores at half time: 0-0
Colombia have fared better offensively than Jamaica in this tournament. They however haven’t been able to score a first-half goal in their last two matches and neither have Jamaica in the tournament. It is for these two reasons that we settle on our second take that this match will end goalless in the first half.
