Colombia vs Brazil Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup
by Steve Ashfield | in World Cup Predictions
Colombia host Brazil in the FIFA World Cup 2022 South American qualifiers at the Estadio Metropolitano. The hosts are ranked fifth in the table with fourteen points from ten fixtures while the visitors see themselves placed at the top of the table with twenty-seven points from nine fixtures. Colombia are two points short of fourth place, which could keep them in the zone for direct qualification to the World Cup. Reinaldo Rueda’s side come into the game with a goalless draw on the road against Uruguay. Colombia have been playing low scoring games in their recent few fixtures. They have had less than 2.5 goals in five out of their seven fixtures. They have also drawn five out of their seven fixtures and struggled to score the required number of goals to get wins even after playing relatively well.
Brazil, on the contrary, have won every single of the nine qualification fixtures. They come into the game with a resounding 3-1 win over Venezuela. They have been defensively resolute and have kept clean sheets in their last six matches. However, unlike Colombia, Brazil have been scoring goals with ease and registering easy wins. Most of Brazil’s wins in the recent few months have been slender 1-0 wins. They also have under 2.5 goals in six out of Brazil’s last eight matches. The two teams have played three draws between both of them in Colombia, all of them with under 2.5 goals.
