Club Brugge vs Zenit St Petersburg Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League

Zenit St. Petersburg make the journey to Belgium this week for a game against Club Brugge in Group F of the UEFA Champions League. The Russian side is currently bottom of the table after collecting one point from four games. Qualification to the knockout stage of the UCL is now impossible for Zenit, but they can still catch Brugge. The Belgian club is third in the table with four points from four outings, and they hope to end a losing streak in this competition to get their Round of 16 dreams back on track. Brugge began the campaign brightly by beating Zenit in Russia on the opening day. They followed this up with a 1-1 draw at home to Lazio before a double-header versus Borussia Dortmund - which saw Brugge lose back-to-back games - scuppered their momentum. Zenit lost to both Lazio and Dortmund in subsequent matches but did also manage to hold the Italian club to a draw in Saint Petersburg. 

Zenit took advantage of a depleted Lazio side by getting that draw. With Europa League football still acquirable, they want to get revenge on Brugge for the last-minute winner they got against them on matchday one. While Zenit are a mediocre UCL side, the home form of Brugge suggests that they can get a result on Wednesday. Brugge have failed to win three of their last four home matches, two of which were in the UCL. Yet Zenit have been unable to win nine of their last ten away games, so maybe we're doing Brugge a disservice. We suggest backing a draw.
