Club Brugge hope to maintain their unbeaten start to the Champions League group stage when they host Borussia Dortmund at Jan Breydelstadion on Wednesday night. The Belgian side are second in the table on four points after winning their opener 2-1 away to Zenit and drawing 1-1 at home to Lazio on matchday two. Dortmund, third in the group, got off to a bad start when they fell to an opening 3-1 defeat at Lazio. However, they registered their first win of the UCL campaign on matchday two when Jadon Sancho and later Erling Haaland found the back of the net at home against Zenit. Haaland has been on fire in front of goal this season, finding the back of the net 14 times in 14 appearances for club and country. Brugge need no introduction to Haaland; they watched compatriots Genk suffer his wrath in a 6-2 defeat to RB Salzburg last season, the Norwegian forward scoring three times. 

Contrary to what their lofty group standing may suggest, Brugge have not been in great form lately, failing to win four of their last five matches in all competitions. A look at the UCL record of Brugges may surprise you. They are unbeaten in six of their last eight UCL home games, picking up results against the likes of Atletico Madrid. Unbeaten in five home matches in all competitions prior to this fixture, they should not be written off. Dortmund have won their last three matches without conceding any goals. Mats Hummels was the unlikely player at the double in the weekend win over Arminia Bielefeld but there's no doubting who the dangerman for Brugges is. Yet Dortmund have failed to win 12 of their last 15 away matches in the UCL, a record which doesn't encourage backing. We suggest placing your money on a double chance bet on Brugges.
