Bruges are defending champions but start the weekend in third place in the table. They have ten points from their first four fixtures which would normally be enough to take you to the top of the table. However, their opponents Anderlecht have won all four of their games so far to lead the Jupiler League by two points from Genk who also have ten points. A home win here will see Anderlecht lose top spot and they could be down to third in the table if Genk can beat Wassland-Beveren who are yet to win a league game this season.

The home side won their first three league games of the season beginning with a 5-2 home win over Eupen with Jelle Vossen scoring a hat-trick. Their first away game of the season resulted in a 1-0 away win at Mouscron and the goals flowed again at home as they defeated Kortrijk 3-0. Their 100% record was lost when being held to a 1-1 draw at Antwerp last weekend conceding an equaliser six minutes from time. Including friendlies, Bruges are unbeaten in their last nine games. They had mixed results at home to Anderlecht last season, winning 5-0 in the main league and then losing 2-1 in the Championship league.

Anderlecht still have a 100% record after four league games. Their opening couple of games saw them beat Kortrijk 4-1 away and Oostende 5-2 with Croatian striker Ivan Santini scoring a hat-trick in both matches. More success followed with a 2-1 win at Charleroi with Santini scoring the winning goal and their second home game of the season resulted in a 2-0 home victory over Mouscron. No goals from Santini but Dimata got the winner and he has five for the season. This should be a great game to watch and the tip is for over 2.5 goals to be scored in the match..
