Real Esteli have been crowned overall Nicaraguan champions for each of the past four seasons. They are third at present in the regular season and look for three points away at sixth placed Chinandega. Esteli would love to climb up to second as that would take them automatically into the semi-finals of the play-offs. They are two points behind second placed Diriangen with three games to go and play them in their penultimate match. Esteli are not in good form coming into this game with no wins in their last three league fixtures. Just two points earned and no goals in the last two. Only one of their last five away league games have been won and that was at relegation threatened Deportivo Ocotal. Seven away league games have only produced 13 goals.

Chinandega are in the final play-off position and a point clear of seventh placed Juventus Managua. They are four points behind fifth placed Jalapa, so holding onto sixth is their main aim. Their form isn't that great either with two wins and three losses in their last five league games. Home form is good though with three wins in the last four. The other was a loss to league leaders Managua FC. Four of their seven home league fixtures have been won with only four goals conceded. That's compared to ten conceded in their last three on the road. With Chinandega being impressive at home but Esteli having only conceded six away league goals, a bet on under 2.5 goals being scored is the tip for this match.
