Our next match prediction takes in a crucial match in League Two at the top of the table as promotion-chasing Bradford City travel to the SMH Group Stadium to face Chesterfield. The Spireites, led by Paul Cook, are battling hard for the playoffs making this game vital for both teams. Will Graham Alexander’s Bantams land the win here or will Chesterfield improve their playoff prospects?

Under Paul Cook, Chesterfield have hit a good run of form at the right time. They have lost just one of the last ten, winning six, drawing three. That leaves them ninth in League Two three points behind Colchester United in seventh, but with a better goal difference. Bradford lie third in the table, two points behind leaders Port Vale, one behind Doncaster and just one ahead of Walsall in fourth. They have 74 points from 43 games.

Coming into this game Chesterfield’s form is excellent with one defeat in ten. However, they have drawn two of their last three, a 1-1 home draw with Gillingham and a 0-0 away draw at AFC Wimbledon. In between, they defeated Fleetwood 3-0 at home. 

Bradford have won just one of their last five games, a 2-0 home win over Crewe. That was followed by a 5-4 away defeat to in-form Swindon Town before Good Friday’s battling 1-1 draw at home to Notts County.
