Chelsea vs Wolves Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

The season isn't quite working out for these two clubs. Chelsea have spent a fortune but are ninth in the Premier League and host Wolves who are down in 14th. Both sides won against lower league opposition in the FA Cup at the weekend but it's league points they want. Chelsea are five points behind the final Champions League place and 11 behind league leaders Manchester United. A form guide for the past ten league games has Chelsea in 14th  with Wolves three places lower. Both need to improve massively in the coming weeks if they want a successful season. They will do so without manager Frank Lampard who was sacked on Monday. Chelsea have only won two of their last eight league fixtures and that has seen them slide down the table. Home form had been strong but the last two at Stamford Bridge has only produced one point. Clean sheets are becoming a bit of a rarity with only two in their last seven league matches. 

Wolves are only four places above the relegation zone but there's little chance of them going down. They are ten points above the bottom three but the same number behind sixth place. Nine league games have been lost this season, the same number of defeats in all of last season's Premier League. A run of two points from their last six league matches needs to be turned around and after this game they travel to Crystal Palace. Away form has been poor of late with three defeats and a draw at Brighton. Ten goals have been conceded in those games, though Wolves have managed four of their own.
