The good run continues at Chelsea after their win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. Now they focus on the FA Cup, where they’ll be hosting Sheffield United in the quarter finals. Chelsea saw off a hard fighting Atletico Madrid 2-0 at Stamford Bridge and remains in the chase in three different competitions. One of them is the FA Cup, in which they’ll be gunning for a semi final berth as they host the bottom placed side in the Premier League. Chelsea go to this game unbeaten in their last 14 matches, and have six straight clean sheets. They last lost in January, to Leicester City, and in their last 15 matches, they’ve failed to score in just four. New manager Thomas Tuchel has instilled confidence and the Blues look like champions every time they step out to play. In terms of goal scoring, they have a diversity of scorers; in the last six matches, they’ve had six different scorers. The biggest improvement though, is in defence, while they go here unbeaten in eight home matches. In the FA Cup, Chelsea lost to Arsenal in last season’s final and as they face their first Premier League opponent since, they don’t seem shaky at all. The team has lost just twice in the last 10 FA Cup matches, and at home in the competition, they have four straight wins, with three clean sheets and two or more goals in each.

Sheffield’s recent form is in stark contrast; not much is going well for the side and they seem destined for a future in the Championship. Recently the team made a needless change in the coaching department, and in the first outing afterwards, were hammered 5-0 by Leicester City. That was the team’s fifth loss in the last six matches. They’ve lost seven of the last 10 matches, and have only two clean sheets in the last 13 games. In Sheffield United’s last five matches, they’ve conceded 10 goals, averaging two a game, while they’ve scored just one in the five matches. In five of their last eight matches, the Blades have conceded two or more goals and away from home they have lost each of the last four, while scoring no goal. Chelsea will be their first Premier League opponent in this competition.
