Ahead of their game against Chelsea in the League Cup third round, Liverpool had picked straight wins in 11 matches, dating back to the preseason and they will need to regroup well for the trip to Stamford Brigde lest they lose their grip at the summit to third placed Chelsea. A draw too may not be good for Liverpool as second placed Manchester City are just two points behind and with a massive goal difference. After the Chelsea trip, Liverpool have another tricky trip out to Italy where they will face Napoli and there is a feeling this is the point it starts to get tough for the high fliers and they will need a great balancing act. Liverpool opened the season with three straight clean sheets but that has since dried up and they only have one in the last five matches while conceding twice agaianst Chelsea is the second time they have let in two goals in the last three matches. That air of invincibility seems to be disappearing while Chelsea have picked three clean sheets in their last five matches and will head to this game in high confidence having scored at least twice in six of the eight matches they have played this season. Eden Hazard was once again key for Chelsea as he rose from the bench  and completed the comeback for The Blues in the Anfield clash and he is a sure starter when Liverpool visit Chelsea. The last six meetings between the two sides have seen Chelsea pick three wins and Liverpool one with just three of the last 11 matches producing over 2.5 goals.
