The fallen giants of last season will kick-start their revival against each other as Chelsea host Liverpool in the Premier League season opener. This match will be played at the Stamford Bridge in London on Sunday. Chelsea have had a dreadful season last year falling on all counts and finishing 12th in the table with 44 points. At one point, they looked to be destined for finishing even lower. That has prompted big spending from the owner with new manager Mauricio Pochettino taking charge. This sequence saw them win eight and draw two, so Jurgen Klopp will be banking on his side to start well. They need that as the Reds finished 5th last season, eventually finishing four points behind Champions League qualification spots. Yet, new signings like Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister have raised interest for the fans who are demanding more. They would want to start the season well and not fall behind in the top-four race, something which hampered their last campaign. The Reds did finish the season well, remaining unbeaten in 11 league games.
