Chelsea vs Leeds Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup
by Ian John in FA Cup Predictions
Chelsea face Leeds United in the FA Cup Fifth Round on Wednesday Night (kick off 7.30pm) with the Londoners having to bounce back from their 1-0 Carabao Cup Final defeat to Liverpool after extra time. Mauricio Pochettino's team were exhausted and devastated by the loss, so it will be a task for the manager to get his team ready within three days for an FA Cup tie. Especially against one of their great rivals from the 1970s and a team like Leeds who have won all of their last nine Championship games and who are unbeaten in 12 matches heading into this fixture.Limited Offer. Chelsea - Leeds: Form Analysis
It will be interesting to see what team Mauricio Pochettino puts out for the game in midweek. With several of his team having played 120 minutes against Liverpool on Sunday, and the physical and emotional effects of that game, it is hard to see all of those players featuring here. However, Pochettino will also know that this is a game the Londoners cannot afford to lose as it is their last chance of silverware this season. Heading into the Carabao Cup Final, Chelsea had been unbeaten in three games, winning two and earning a creditable 1-1 draw away at Manchester City the weekend before. Goalscoring has been a problem for the Blues all season long, with midfielder Cole Palmer their top scorer with 12 goals and also creating more than any other player with nine assists. It was also very notable that all of Liverpool's best chances in the game on Sunday, and the Reds winning goal, came either from set piece crosses, or crosses into the box.
I have no doubt that Daniel Farke will have noted this and informed his Leeds United team that this is an area of potential weakness for the Premier League team. His team comes into this fixture bridging with confidence after an exceptional run of form in the Championship has seen them move up to second in the table - that run has included big home wins over their nearest rivals Leicester (3-1 at the weekend) and a 4-0 win over Ipswich a short time ago. In a side that is packed with players who have plenty of Premier League experience, Leeds should be confident of giving their London rivals a real test on Wednesday night. The question is whether they can take advantage of their good form and Chelsea's predicament, to land a shock win.

Chelsea & Leeds Squad Analysis
Chelsea will be without several players for the game with Leeds. Benoit Badiashile, Carney Chukwumeka, Lesley Ugochukwu, Reece James, Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana are all ruled out of the game. Robert Sanchez is fit again, but seems to have lost his place to Dorde Petrovic in goal for the first team. Marc Cucurella and Thiago Silva are both thought to be closed to a return for the Londoners, and it will be interesting to see if they play given the drain on energy caused by Sunday's extra time loss. Conor Gallagher was arguably Chelsea's best player at the weekend and the England midfielder has been one of their more consistent performers alongside Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer this season.
Despite their excellent run of form, Leeds United have also been dealing with a number of injuries to key players, which makes that run all the most impressive. Patrick Bamford and Daniel James returned earlier than expected from their recent injuries and both came off the bench at the weekend in their 3-1 win over Leicester, with Bamford netting the third goal for the home side. However Leeds will be without defender Sam Byram, goalkeeper Karl Darlow, defender Pascal Struijk and wideman Stuart Dallas with all four scheduled to make their returns from injury in either early to mid March. Crysencio Summerville has been one of Leeds top performers this season, netting 15 goals in 31 games from the right wing. Daniel James has added a further ten from the left wing showing how dangerous the Yorkshire side are down the flanks.

One of the worst feelings when placing a football bet is when the team that you have backed has gone into a multiple-goal lead only to be clawed back to a draw or to lose the game in question. This is something that bet365 has rectified for their bettors courtesy of this offer. If the team that you backed takes a two-goal lead your bet will be paid out as a winner. That is any two-goal lead so 2-0, 3-1, 4-2 etc will all be paid out early as a winner if your team is in that position. This is available in 80 different competitions including the major leagues across Europe and can be played on the full-time result market. Singles and multiples are both valid for this offer but you cannot bet on enhanced price markets. As with most promotions, if you cash out a bet in full, the bet will no longer be available for the offer in question. It also cannot be used if you bet on the draw on a game.
