Chelsea desperately need to win this Premier League game at home to Crystal Palace. They begin the weekend in tenth place with their opponents two places and three points below them. It's just one disaster after another for Chelsea at the moment. Graham Potter has been given a vote of confidence by the club owners but that can soon change. Chelsea are ten points behind the final Champions League spot as this latest set of games begin. When the big spending American owners realise there might not be any cash coming from the Champions League next season, Potter may be shown the door. Chelsea lost at Fulham on Thursday and new loan signing Joao Felix impressed before being sent off. That loss to their neighbours was their third straight defeat in league and cup games and with only one goal scored. They have only beaten out-of-form Bourmemouth in their last nine league games with six points earned from those matches. Home form has seen one win in the last four league games but they have played three of the top four. Only 19 goals have been scored in eight home league matches this season and the last four have all seen under 2.5 goals scored in them.

Crystal Palace can go level on points with Chelsea if winning this match and they'll have a game in hand. They are also struggling for form with three of their last four matches ending in defeat. Last week saw them follow Chelsea out of the FA Cup when losing 2-1 at home to Southampton. Palace have also lost three of their last four Premier League games and worryingly, only scored in one of them which was the 2-0 away win at Bournemouth. Palace struggle for goals with just 17 league goals scored this season. Away form has seen them earn nine points from eight games with seven goals scored and 10 conceded. Of those scored against them, seven came in two games at Manchester City and Everton. Four of their last six away Premier League matches have had under 2.5 goals scored in them with Palace failing to score in four. A bet on under 2.5 goals in this match looks a winning one.
