Brighton and Hove Albion will be looking to continue their incredible season when they head to Stamford Bridge to take on a deflated Chelsea on Saturday afternoon in the English Premier League. The visitors have been excellent this term and have emerged as one of the surprise packages of the season and are still firmly involved in the European Cup qualification battle. Brighton and Hove Albion are currently in seventh place in the league, with 46 points, two points above Liverpool in eighth and just seven points behind Tottenham Hotspur in fifth, though the Seagulls do have two games in hand on the London club. Brighton and Hove Albion lost their last league match to Spurs 2-1, which brought an end to a five-match unbeaten run that included three wins and two draws. Their away record also looks fairly impressive in recent times, losing just one of their last eight matches on the road, winning four, and drawing the remaining three. Brighton and Hove Albion arguably announced their intentions this season in the reverse fixture, where they ran away as 4-1 winners back in October, and with the poor form their opponents are in, the Seagulls will fancy their chances of completing the double over the hosts in this one. 

Meanwhile, Chelsea are having one of the worst domestic league seasons in their recent history. The hosts lost their last match against a relegation-threatened Wolverhampton Wanderers, which saw them slip out of the top half of the Premier League table to eleventh place with just 39 points after 30 matches, a massive 17 points behind the top four sides in the league. With that loss, Chelsea have now gone four consecutive league matches without a win, drawing two and losing two. Their home record this season has been their biggest downfall, with just six wins in 15 matches at Stamford Bridge, along with five draws and four losses. Chelsea have failed to win any of their last three home matches, drawing two and losing one, while only scoring two goals and conceding four in that time. The hosts have been unable to beat this opposition in their last four attempts and have been outscored 6-3 in that period. Chelsea will hope that the return of Frank Lampard as caretaker manager will be enough to give them a lift, but they will be given no favours by this opposition, which has been one of the most attractive in the league this year.
