Chelsea are ten points behind the league leaders but considering the goal difference it's 11 really. I can't see them getting anywhere near retaining their title and they are seven points adrift of the Champions League places. They need to start winning right now and a home game against Aston Villa should be an ideal opportunity. Stamford Bridge isn't the fortress it used to be but Aston Villa are in poor form at present. Actually Villa have been in poor form for about a year now and only a few good results last season kept them in the Premier League. They only have four points and are four from safety, if that gap gets a bit wider then it might be time to jettison Sherwood. When you're a struggling side and you lose players like Benteke and Delph during the summer what do you expect? Villa won on the first day of the season at newly promoted Bournemouth but since then seven games have only produced one point and that was at home to Sunderland. This is a fixture that Chelsea just have to win with the next two league games being awkward trips to West Ham and Stoke. They should be able to get a good win and hopefully that might start them on one of Mourinho's famous runs.
