Charlton vs Derby Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

It's not that long since Charlton were in the Premier League but it looks certain that next year they'll be playing in League One. They are one from bottom in the table and ten points from safety with a vastly inferior goal difference. Relegation isn't far away especially as their last five games include having to play three of the top five in the table starting with this fixture against Derby County. A run of form towards the end of last year and the first half of January where they earned just four points from ten games left them in the mess they remain in. Recent form hasn't been appalling with 11 points from seven games but the amazing recoveries of Rotherham and Bristol City have left them in a desperate position. It's a happier tale for Derby County who are fifth in the table and seven points clear of sixth so unless they totally collapse like they did last year they'll be in the play-offs. No sign of a collapse with three wins in the last four and they have scored four in each of their last two games. Away form is a bit of a struggle though with three defeats in their last four. So what's going to happen here? Charlton aren't showing signs of just giving up and Derby don't always turn up in away games. I think goals are guaranteed though so I go for over 2.5 goals to be scored.
