Second placed Seattle Sounders can go top of the MLS Western Conference with a win at Charlotte FC. The home side are ninth in the Eastern Conference which would take them into the play-offs. Seattle will have been delighted with the news that Western Conference leaders St Louis City lost at Dallas on Thursday. That leaves Seattle a point behind the leaders but they have played a couple of games more. Seattle are struggling for form though with only one win in their last five MLS games. Their most recent match saw the Rave Green held to a goalless home draw by Portland Timbers. That makes it just one goal scored in their last four MLS fixtures. On the road, the Sounders have won three, drawn one and lost three. Only 17 goals have been scored in those seven away games wih the last three all seeing under 2.5 goals scored.

Charlotte FC aren't in good form at present with four of their last five games in all competitions lost and three of their last four MLS fixtures. The most recent of those was a 4-2 loss at Columbus Crew with them conceding three goals in the first half. They had won three home games in a row before losing 2-1 to Nashville. Charlotte led in that game but ended up losing to a 93rd minute penalty. That was their third home loss of the season. We go for a double chance bet on Seattle.
