Chad vs Côte d'Ivoire Prediction & Betting Tips - AFCON

Continental champions Ivory Coast will travel to take on minnows Chad in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium on Tuesday night. The Elephants have shot out to an early lead in Group G with three points, while Les Sao are in second place with one point. Here’s our match prediction.

Chad got their AFCON qualifiers underway with a trip to Sierra Leone and played out a fairly dull goalless draw in a match that only produced six shots on target between both sides combined. 

That result followed back-to-back defeats against the Central African Republic and Comoros in World Cup qualification in June, and marked their third consecutive match without finding the back of the net. 

Ranked 178th in the world and sixth-lowest of 53 CAF region representatives, it is fairly unsurprising to see that Les Sao have only notched up two victories in their last 21 matches in all competitions - both of which came over Mauritius in the preliminary round of this competition.

Meanwhile, the Ivory Coast began their journey to defend their title as champions of Africa with a solid 2-0 win over a tricky Zambian outfit at home last week thanks to a brace by Jean-Philippe Krasso. 

With that, the Elephants are now unbeaten in their last nine matches, including seven wins and two draws, while Emerse Fae has yet to taste defeat since replacing Jean-Louis Gasset midway through the 2023 AFCON at the start of the year. 

With grounds in Chad failing to meet international standards, this match will be played in Cameroon, in essence, making this an away match for both these sides.
