Celtic - Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC: Form Analysis
Despite winning their final match of the league season 5-0 over third-placed Aberdeen, Celtic seemingly stepped off the gas in the closing weeks. That win brought an end to a three-match winless streak for the champions, which included two losses and a draw. Celtic have been formidable in this competition to date, banging in five goals in each of their opening two fixtures against Greenock and St Mirren at the start of the year. They followed that up with away wins over Hearts and Rangers while keeping clean sheets against both. The Bhoys have not won this competition since the 2019/20 season and will be expected to lift the title here against a lower-league opposition.
Meanwhile, Inverness finished their regular season in sixth place in the Championship with 55 points. They missed out on a playoff spot by losing to Ayr United in their final match of the season, which allowed Partick Thistle to finish fourth. That loss brought an end to a seven-match unbeaten streak for Inverness, which included six wins and a draw. Like their opponents, Inverness have been excellent in this competition and have conceded just one goal in four matches. They beat Queens Park, Livingston, and Falkirk each by a scoreline of 3-0 and overcame Kilmarnock 2-1 in March. Inverness have not beaten Celtic in their last eight attempts, dating back to 2015, and have conceded ten goals in their last two encounters alone. Can they pull off a fairytale ending to the season?

Celtic & Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC Squad Analysis
The major injury concern for Celtic coming into this match is around their talisman Kyogo Furuhashi, who picked up a knock in the 5-0 win over Aberdeen. The Japanese attacker has scored 33 goals in all competitions this season and will have to pass a late fitness test in order to feature here. Alistair Johnston and Sead Haksabanovic have returned to full fitness and will be available for selection, while Aaron Mooy will be out until next season.
Inverness received a boost in the week with Roddy MacGregor and Max Ram both returning to full training. They will be available for selection in this match but may have to settle for a start on the bench with very limited time to get back up to speed. Shane Sutherland and Tom Walsh are the long-term absentees and will not feature in this one.
