Sunday’s La Liga action kicks off at Estadio Abanca-Balaidos, where Celta Vigo will be taking on Real Valladolid. The Sky Blues are in eighth place after the first four games of the season while the White and Violets are 15th. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

After finishing each of the last two seasons in 13th place in the league standings, Celta Vigo will likely be hoping to push closer to the top half of the table this term and they made an impressive start in doing so. 

The Sky Blues notched up back-to-back wins in their first two games of the campaign, beating Alaves and Valencia, but lost the next two leading up to the international break against Villareal and Osasuna.

Notably, both their wins this term came at home and both away games ended in defeat. Additionally, Celta have scored two or more goals in all four matches and have not kept a clean sheet as yet. 

Meanwhile, Real Valladolid also made a positive start to the new season, picking up a 1-0 opening-week victory over Espanyol but they failed to build on that result.

Leading up to the international break, Pucela lost 3-0 to Real Madrid and drew goalless against Leganes before receiving a 7-0 pummelling by league leaders Barcelona at the end of last month. 

The visitors returned to the top flight at the first time of asking this season, but have now failed to score in seven of their last nine La Liga matches on either side of their Segunda Division campaign.
