Celta Vigo vs Sevilla Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga

Celta Vigo are ninth in La Liga but still in with a chance of qualifying for the Europa League next season. They trail sixth placed Real Betis by six points and can't afford to see that gap widen any further. They host a Sevilla side who are seventh and also six points clear of their opponents. Celta are on a poor run of form at present with just one win in their five league games and that was against relegation-threatened Las Palmas. They have just two wins in their last ten league games but their home form remains solid with no defeats in the last six including a draw with Real Madrid. Just the three home league defeats all season but it's the nine on the road and their current form that is making qualification for the Europa League looking unlikely particularly after being held to a 0-0 draw by bottom of the table Malaga in their last home match.

Sevilla lost 2-1 at home to Bayern Munich in midweek and it's looking bleak for them in that Champions League quarter final tie. Failure to even qualify for Europe next season would be a big step backwards for them and it's their away form that causes them problems. They are yet to draw an away La Liga game this season and although they have won six games on their travels, Sevilla have lost nine and only four teams in the league have lost more on the road. They have won two of their last three away league games but those were both against sides in the bottom three in February. Current form has seen them win just one of their last five league and cup games and that was the win at Manchester United in the Champions League. Last week they nearly beat Barcelona at home but Lionel Messi got a late equalizer for the unbeaten league leaders.  

Not an easy game to predict with both sides struggling for form. The tip is to go for the double chance on Sevilla to come home with either a win or draw based on that result against Barcelona and the decent display against Bayern but that away form in La Liga is still a bit of a worry hence not going for the away win outright.
