Real Madrid haven't won La Liga since 2017. Last season was a disappointing campaign for them as they only finished third in La Liga and losing their Champions League crown. They ended the season 19 points behind champions Barcelona and lost 12 league games. Not surprisingly they went out and spent a fortune on new players including Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo. Nearly £300m has been spent and it could be even higher if they could finally get their hands on Neymar or Christian Eriksen.  Their problems continued in preseason though including an embarassing 7-3 loss to Atletico Madrid in the International Champions Cup. 

Celta Vigo were so nearly relegated last season. They ended one place and four points above the relegation zone. 17 of their league games were lost in the 2018/19 season with six lost on home territory. Away form has to be improved this season after losing 11 games last term. They had some success in preseason but ended it with defeats by Tenerife and Lazio. Celta only won one of their last five league games last season but the teams in the bottom three didn't finish that well so they survived going down. Madrid have a great record against their opponents with 18 goals scored in the last five meetings. Go for an away win here.
