Two points separate 11th placed Celta Vigo and visitors Mallorca who are a place below them. Celta Vigo are 11 points adrift of the final European competition place but only nine above the drop zone. They’ll both be seeking three points from this clash. Celta Vigo will have reason to feel like favorites going into this game; they are unbeaten in the last seven matches. In their last game, against Sevilla, Celta Vigo drew 2-2, that being a second straight draw and third in five matches. The fact that Celta Vigo have scored two or more goals in each of their last four matches reinforces their position as favorites in this fixture but points to an area they need to work on – the defence. The hosts have no clean sheet in the last three matches, and in the last two they have conceded two goals each. Playing at home has however offered some comfort, especially in defence, having kept three clean sheets in the last five, though they failed to score in one.

Mallorca will go into this game seeking to improve on a run of six matches without a win. They have managed just two wins in their last 10 games and will rightly fit into this game as the underdogs.
