Celta Vigo will look to start plotting their way up the table when they host an in-form Atletico Madrid in La Liga. This match will be played at the Estadio Municipal de Balaídos on Saturday with the hosts 18th on six points and the visitors fourth with 19 points. Celta spent the international break two points behind the safety zone after a 2-2 draw with Getafe before the break. That made it two draws across their last five league games – three losses otherwise. In fact, they have won just one game all season long in La Liga, losing five and drawing three. Goals haven’t been a problem though, as Celta scored 11 this season although conceding 15 has been a concern.

Atletico are five points behind leaders Real going into the break, but have a game in hand. They are pretty much the in-form side of the division winning four games in a row in La Liga. That included going into the break on the back of a 2-1 win over Real Sociedad. That sequence also saw them win 3-1 over Real Madrid, so their form has been building up for some time. It is their scoring record that has been making waves with them scoring 20 goals, the joint-second best in the league. At the other end of the pitch, they have conceded only eight goals, which is bettered only by Real Madrid in the league this season. Their away form hasn’t been dominating though, with two wins, a draw and a loss across their four away league games suggesting they have been susceptible.
