Celta de Vigo play their first game in 2019 and will hope to start the year better than they ended the last one. They are 12th in the table and their next few results will determine in which way their season is going to go. That's because they are five points above the relegation zone but also five points adrift of a Europa League place. Their season began well but the last 13 league games have only produced three victories and two of those came against sides currently in the bottom four. Home form has seen Celta de Vigo win two of the last four with three clean sheets. Six of their nine home league games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them.

It's been a worrying season for Athletic Bilbao and they start this game in the bottom three but a win here will take them within two points of their opponents. They won their first league game of the season but then went 13 without a win before beating Girona at home. Since then they have drawn their next two league games but continue to find scoring a problem with only sixteen scored in the league this season. They are the draw experts of La Liga with ten so far. Bilbao are yet to win an away league game but have drawn five out of eight. The best bet here is to go for a draw.
