Rizespor will be at home on Saturday against Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig. After nine rounds of play, Galatasaray are second, and Rizespor eighth. Rizespor have hit a snag in recent weeks and have won only one of their last four games. They have been defeated twice including in their last outing. Ilhan Palut’s men were defeated 3-1 away to Kayserispor. Their third defeat of the season left them with 14 points. The last time that the Black Sea Sparrowhawk played a team in the top four, they were thumped 5-0 by leaders Fenerbahce. But as they haven’t lost at home this season, they will be confident of frustrating the defending champions.

Galatasaray suffered their first loss of the season in midweek as they went down 3-1 at home to Bayern Munich. Okan Buruk’s men will therefore be out in search of an immediate response. Gala have had a sublime start to their title defence. Together with leaders Fenerbahce, Galatasaray are yet to lose a league match and have won eight of their nine fixtures. They have earned 25 points and sit just two points off the pace. With the leaders not playing until Sunday, Cimbom can lead the league for at least 24 hours if they are victorious in Rize. Galatasaray have won in their last two visits to Rizespor.
