Seventh placed Cardiff City can move into the Championship promotion play-offs places if winning on Tuesday. The Bluebells host West Bromwich Albion who are fifth in the table, two points ahead of their opponents. Cardiff City won 2-1 at Preston North End on Saturday, a very unlikely victory. Going into second half injury time they were a goal down but scored in the 96th and 99th minutes to get the victory. That eighth league win of the season took them to one place and a single point below the final promotion play-off position. A win over West Brom will take them into fifth place in the Championship. Cardiff City have won five of their eight home league games this season. Their most recent home fixture saw them beaten 3-2 by Norwich City. That was a disappointing defeat as they were 2-1 up going into the 82nd minute. The loss ended a run of six home league games without defeat, five of which had been won. Five of their home games in the Championship this season have seen both teams score.

West Bromwich Albion moved up to fifth in the table after beating second placed Ipswich Town at home on Saturday. They are still ten points behind the second and final automatic promotion spot. A win over Cardiff City will take the Baggies into third position. Their away form in the Championship does need to improve if they want to return to the Premier League. Albion have only won two out of eight on the road with three draws and the same number of defeats. Last time out they lost 2-1 at Southampton, the second match they have lost in their last three away league fixtures. The win over Ipswich made it four wins in the last five league fixtures. They are in good form but we still have concerns over their away form and we recommend a double chance bet on them to win or draw this match.
