Cardiff have lost two successive games and that's caused them to drop out of the automatic promotion places in the Championship. The disappointing loss away to Bolton was followed by the loss of their unbeaten home league record when losing 4-2 at home to Fulham. They are now third in the table behind second-placed Bristol City on goal difference. Cardiff had been unbeaten in 11 home league games and need to get back in winning ways or they could fall further behind the top two. A bet on first goal scorer isnt easy in this game with the last nine of Cardiff's goals being scored by different players. Preston North End drew 0--0 at relegation threatened Barnsley on Boxing Day and that extended their unbeaten run to eight league games. They start this set of games in ninth place but are only four points away from the play-off positions. Preston do tend to draw too many league games which may be costly in the long-run. Their last two league games have both ended in draws and overall they have drawn 10 out of 24 games with just five league defeats.  This should be a fascinating game and a bet on a draw looks the one to go for.
